Rev. Guy Wimberly

Reverend Guy Wimberly is a dedicated spiritual leader currently serving as the Pastor of Cornerstone Methodist Church in West Point, Mississippi. With a deep commitment to the Wesleyan tradition, Rev. Wimberly has become a cornerstone of the local faith community, guiding his congregation through a mission of active worship, Bible study, and outreach.

Polly Grimes

Music has always been a major force in my life! The Lord has given me many
opportunities to serve Him whether teaching in public schools, or private lessons or serving in various areas of church music programs. It is my belief that God uses music in our worship of Him, sometimes in public services, sometimes when practicing our instrument! Throughout my life I have tried to develop the music talent given – playing piano, organ, directing choirs, singing in the choir – using all for the glory of Jesus Christ, the God that I love!

Bonnie Rogers

Bonnie Rogers, who comes to us with 23 years of experience spreading joy and the love of Jesus in churches across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, serves as our Children’s Ministry Director.  She brings a fun and relatable approach to teaching biblical truths and is dedicated to equipping, supporting, and pouring into children and their families.  Ms. Bonnie aims to foster true encounters with Christ from a young age.  She is married to her husband, Kent and has two grown children.  Her favorite Bible verse, Psalm 28:7, beautifully captures her spirit: “The LORD is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts Him and He helps me.  My heart leaps for joy, and with my song, I praise Him!” Just a quick note, though – if you hear her singing, it’s more of a “joyful” noise than a chart-topping hit!

Tyler Holman

Tyler Holman serves as the Youth Director at Cornerstone Church, where he has spent the past few months building connections with the youth and local community alongside his wife, Cala. Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Tyler grew up steeped in ministry as a pastor’s son and has been actively involved in congregational worship for most of his life. Prior to making West Point his home, he served as a Worship Associate at Indianola First Methodist. Deeply grateful for his time at Cornerstone so far, Tyler continues to feel blessed by the opportunity to guide young lives and lead worship, seeing firsthand how God is working throughout the community.

Melanie Sanders

Following a successful career in education and administration,  Melanie  is currently serving as the Office Manager for Cornerstone Methodist Church. In this vital role, she blends her organizational expertise with a heart for ministry, acting as a central hub for the congregation’s daily operations and outreach. Additionally, she serves as church pianist to provide support for the choir and the music ministry.

Melanie has focused her retirement on deep-rooted service within the North Mississippi Walk to Emmaus community alongside her husband, Bruff. Whether she is coordinating "behind-the-scenes" logistics for church events or traveling, her work is defined by a steadfast commitment to faith, heritage, and supporting the spiritual growth of those around her.
